Junior Java Developer – Software Engineer (f/m/x)

Our client, who has a leading specialized payments platform, is currently looking for a Junior Java Developer – Software Engineer (f/m/x) for their team in Vienna.

These exciting tasks are waiting for you:

• Develop modular & scalable software solutions in a motivated and highly-effective scrum team, supported by a state-of-the-art environment (stable & mature continuous integration pipeline, automated integration & code quality tests, OpenShift PAAS)
• Collaborate closely with the team to bring new features to their customers, from requirements analysis through the development process all the way into the production environment
• Interact with stakeholders, from security specialists to marketing experts
• Implement complex Java Enterprise applications following Java EE standards
• Develop web services & REST interfaces, and integrate third-party services
• Create stable & unit-tested software
• Analyse requirements and prepare architectural solutions

Your experience so far:

• BA/MA Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
• Graduate with higher education (HTL, TGM) or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in software development, ideally with JEE (JSF, EJB, JPA, JMS and Webservices), REST, Angular2+, Oracle, and IntelliJ ), Maven and Eclipse/IntelliJ
• Experience with application servers (preferably JBoss) or Open Shift is a plus
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum, XP or Kanban
• Interest in innovative payment product
• Full proficiency in English – German is a plus
• Analytical + conceptional thinking within a technical environment
