IT Security Manager (f/m/x)

We are looking for an IT Security Manager (f/m/x) for our international client with the European branch in Vienna, who will be responsible for management of all IT security systems, policies and processes, leads regular internal audit activities and monitors our client‘s security exposure with prompt and appropriate risk mitigation. The IT Security Manager will also be responsible for the implementation of new security technologies, disaster recovery planning, and security incident response methods and plans. The IT Security Manager will report directly to the CIO.

  • Provide the vision and thought leadership related to cyber security and overall IT Security Strategy in partnership with company leaders
  • Develop and maintain information security policies, standards, guidelines and oversee the dissemination of security policies and practices
  • Provide leadership and guidance on information security topics, advising and collaborating on security processes, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans
  • Develop and regularly delivers management reporting
  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop organization-wide training to increase security awareness of relevant information security practices, protocols and procedures
  • Work with system administrators to audit, monitor and validate their environment’s security, including conducting gap analysis and other comprehensive internal assessments of existing systems to improve the security infrastructure and mitigate risks.
  • Lead investigations of any actual or potential information security risks, develop mitigating plans and coordinate the incident response
  • Drives continuous improvement in the organization’s level of maturity for IT security by assessing, testing, selecting, and implementing new security products and technologies
  • Work with cyber security partners and vendors to follow trends and developments in the cyber security area to identify value added functionalities to bring them to Contour Global to strengthen the protection and to minimize the risk.
  • Specific responsibilities for in-scope plant operational systems include:
    • Manage day-to-day operation and configuration of internal security-related systems
    • Monitor system-generated data to identify events that require resolution, mitigation or containment
    • Manage external vendors providing security services (firewall monitoring, security event monitoring and response, etc)
    • Review, enhance and implement security policies and processes as required
    • Coordinate security threat or incident response, including risk analysis, response actions for IT and other functions as required, post-incident follow-ups and root-cause remediation
    • Identify, structure and implement enhancements in IT security for all segments of IT estate, including hardware, networks, software
    • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting and analytics for IT security


What you will bring to the role:

  • 10 years of overall experience in Information Security, Risk Management and IT related positions
  • Proven track record and experience in developing information security programs, policies and procedures, including successful implementations in large enterprise environments
  • High level of expertise in networks, server technologies, security-related equipment and systems
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of principles and application of IT security concepts
  • High level of initiative and personal integrity, able to work independently in a senior capacity with high level of alignment to strategy and goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills, able to tailor communications to audience
  • Able to interact effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, and representatives from other functions of the organization
  • Strong process orientation
  • Willingness to travel (20-30%)
