Your Role: Join our client, one of the largest banks in Austria, as a Mainframe Database Engineer – design, optimize, and maintain high-performance databases while supporting development teams.

Your Responsibilities:

• Database Design & Optimization – Create and refine database structures based on business requirements
• Backup, Recovery & Performance Tuning – Ensure reliability and efficiency
• Monitoring & Capacity Planning – Manage performance, storage, and scalability
• Production Support & Issue Resolution – Analyze problems and optimize operations
• Software Upgrades & Maintenance – Keep our systems up to date
• Developer Support – Provide expertise on database-related topics

Your Profile:

• Experience with Mainframe environments (JCL, REXX) and Adabas
• Basic knowledge of Mainframe development languages
• Proactive, independent work style and enthusiasm for Mainframe technology
