A leading company in the field of sports betting is currently building a central data science team in Vienna. For this exciting development, a dedicated Big Data Administrator is being sought who wants to help shape modern technologies in a dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Administration, monitoring, and optimization of the Big Data environment based on Apache Hadoop in the AWS Cloud
• Management and maintenance of services like Kafka, Flink, NiFi, DynamoDB, and Iceberg Tables
• Deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Planning and execution of updates and upgrades
• Consulting Data Engineers and Data Scientists in selecting suitable Hadoop services for business use cases
• 3rd-level support through error analysis and troubleshooting
• Support in workload optimization, e.g., through query tuning
• Evaluation and implementation of cloud-native services

Your profile:

• Completed technical education (e.g., degree in computer science or equivalent qualification)
• Experience in system administration of Linux systems (especially RedHat)
• Solid knowledge in setting up and operating Big Data environments based on Apache Hadoop
• Interest in continuous learning and personal development
